Terms and Conditions for RentBot

Welcome to RentBot!

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the RentBot platform at https://rentbot.io ("Platform") and the services provided by RentBot. By using our Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of RentBot

RentBot is a SaaS platform that helps tourist rental businesses (bikes, cars, boats, tours, accommodations) automate customer communication via WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger. The Platform provides an AI-powered chatbot, booking management, inventory management, and a public catalog for each business.

2. Account Registration

To use RentBot, you must:
- Create an account using Google sign-in or email registration
- Provide accurate and complete business information
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the authority to bind your business to these Terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. Services and Pricing

RentBot offers the following pricing:
- Setup Fee: a one-time payment for platform setup and configuration
- Monthly Subscription: a recurring monthly fee for continued access to all features

Prices are listed on our website and may be displayed in USD or COP depending on your location. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

4. Payment and Billing

- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Monthly subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring basis
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the dashboard
- Refunds for the setup fee may be requested within 7 days of purchase if the platform has not been configured
- No refunds are provided for partial months of subscription

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:
- Use the Platform for spam, unsolicited messages, or any purpose that violates Meta's Platform Terms
- Send messages that are illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the messaging APIs
- Use the Platform to collect personal data for purposes beyond business communication and booking management
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure

6. WhatsApp, Instagram & Messenger Integration

By connecting your WhatsApp Business, Instagram, or Messenger account to RentBot:
- You authorize us to send and receive messages on your behalf
- You agree to comply with Meta's Platform Terms, WhatsApp Business Policy, and Commerce Policy
- You acknowledge that message delivery depends on Meta's APIs and is subject to their availability and rate limits
- You are responsible for the content of messages sent through your account, including AI-generated responses
- You should review and customize the AI chatbot's system prompt to ensure responses are accurate for your business

7. AI Chatbot

- RentBot uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate automated responses to customer inquiries
- AI responses are generated based on your business information, inventory, and configured system prompt
- While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors
- You are responsible for monitoring conversations and intervening when necessary
- The handoff feature allows you to take over any conversation from the bot at any time

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://rentbot.io/privacy-policy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

9. Intellectual Property

- RentBot and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by RentBot and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws
- Your business data (inventory, bookings, conversations) remains your property
- You grant us a limited license to use your business data solely to provide the Platform's services

10. Service Availability

- We aim to provide 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
- We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (Meta APIs, Stripe, hosting providers)

11. Termination

- You may cancel your account at any time
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
- Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted
- You may request immediate data deletion by contacting us

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- RentBot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for lost bookings, missed messages, or revenue loss due to Platform issues

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Colombia.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users via email of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
